The Bergstrom Foundation (BF) is dedicated to tackling the urgent issue of high rates of undesired youth and adolescent pregnancy in regions where young people, particularly girls, face significant obstacles to receiving the care they seek. While the Foundation acknowledges the existence of underserved youth and adolescents across Latin America & the Caribbean and East & Southeast Africa, its focus is on a select group of countries and regions with the highest rates of youth and adolescent pregnancy. By strategically directing BF’s resources to these areas, the Foundation aims to have significant, meaningful impact where it is most crucial. The selection process was grounded in comprehensive global data, ensuring that BF’s efforts are informed by both statistical insights and an understanding of local contexts.
